Kathy, Suki, Stacey and Linda are caught off guard when builders arrive at the cafe to begin restoration work. Suki manages to stall them.
Stacey offers Linda a shoulder to cry on, but reminds her that all their futures depend on her staying sober and keeping it together.
After Suki convinces the builders to down tools for a while, the women discuss their next move. They need to move the body fast, or they’ll be found out. As they talk tactics, Suki gets a call that could change everything.
Meanwhile, a newly released Lauren arrives back in Albert Square and is desperate to be reunited with Louie. Peter manages to convince her to stay longer, and Lauren goes to see Penny to check she’s okay.
As Lauren learns the truth about her arrest, she is furious not only with Penny but also with Peter for not telling her earlier. Lauren decides to go to Tanya’s.
Meanwhile, Linda is terrified that Lauren will discover the truth about Annie’s paternity, but Whitney promises not to tell. However, as Lauren and Louie get into the taxi, Sonia stops her to reveal that she’s got another sister in Walford.
Elsewhere, Amy questions Denise’s commitment to their family; Lily is nervous ahead of her return to school.

Elsewhere, Oscar arrives and reveals to Gail, Ryan and Charity that his mum knows about his visit to the village yesterday. He’s sheepish as he’s encouraged to go home but Sophie bursts in, angry. Gail and Charity are thrown when Ryan retorts, unleashing his hurt.
Curious Oscar cannot help but probe Charity for answers about Ryan’s father. When Charity discloses her age to her grandson, Oscar works out the implications. He reassures a relieved Charity that he’s glad his grandfather is no longer around.
