In Paris, Lauren and Penny make a decision that they have to return to Walford due to the events of the evening.

Meanwhile, Elaine is shocked when she catches Cindy asking George if he’s happy with his life choices, but as George tries to explain himself, he receives two unexpected visitors – his parents, Gloria and Eddie.

Elsewhere, Zack and Whitney are devastated as they break the news to Ashton that he’s moving to a new foster home. While Whitney struggles to cope, Zack drowns his sorrows at Peggy’s with Martin.

Also, the Walford teens decide to have an NYE party, and one of them steals a case of beer from the Minute Mart. However, when Patrick and Yolande come to check on them, the teens are mortified to realise the stolen beer is alcohol-free. Yolande agrees to keep the theft a secret, in exchange for a favour…

Following his panic attack, Adam assures Sarah that he’s feeling much better. Sarah suggests they meet for a drink and a hopeful Adam thinks that this could be a new start for them.

In the pub, Sarah Googles panic attacks and promises Adam that they’re going to tackle his anxiety together. Outside, as Adam and Sarah part company, neither of them notices Damon watching them from across the street.

As Adam heads for his office, a man follows him in a van. Adam’s horrified to find himself tied up in the back of the van. Will he be able to escape this?

Meanwhile, Daisy opens up to Jenny about her humiliation at Daniel turning to his old flame Bethany.

Sarah and Gail are delighted that Bethany is back in Weatherfield, and Gail suggests a family lunch at Speed Daal. When Jenny reveals that Daniel slept with Bethany last night, Gail, David and Sarah are stunned.

Elsewhere, a suspicious Billy and Paul can tell Summer is up to something as she frantically types a message and announces that she’s popping out for a couple of hours.

Also, Ed admits to Dee-Dee that he’ll be sad to lose the builder’s yard but clearing his debts is top priority and he’s going to his gambling support group later. Michael refuses to entertain the idea of Ed moving back home.

Coronation Street, ITV1, 8pm

As the adults are occupied at the B&B party, Cathy, Angelica and Heath take a joy ride in Wendy’s car. When an alarmed Bob realises the car is missing, he extracts the truth from April, and rushes to follow them to Hotten.

Meanwhile, Rhona confirms Marlon’s fears, admitting that she has become attached to Ivy as her own baby, but she pleads with him to help make this work within their family. Will Marlon be able to support his wife with what she so desperately needs?

Elsewhere, Amit’s attempts to reconcile are unappreciated.

Also, Chas is glad to have Aaron at The Woolpack for New Year, while Sam is consoled by Mandy as he misses Lydia.
