Geri thinks Spice Girls 30th anniversary reunion is “a really good idea”

Today on This Morning, Geri Halliwell-Horner admitted that a Spice Girls reunion is “a really good idea” as the iconic girl band celebrate their 30th anniversary next year.

Geri joined hosts Emma Willis and Rylan Clark to discuss her latest book ‘Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen’ – and revealed that good friend Rylan had hosted ‘This Is Your Life’ at her 50th birthday party.

Opening up on his and Geri’s relationship, Rylan said: “I’m like the little brother… I’m part of the family now!” Discussing Spice Girls celebrating 30 years of ‘girl power’ next year, Rylan commented: “You know full well I’m not going to let you off that sofa until you tell me that you and the girls are going to get back together for the 30th anniversary and headline Glastonbury… Just say it!”

Geri agreed and said: “At some point I think that’s a really good idea…” Jokingly, Rylan replied: “Don’t palm me off Geri Halliwell-Horner!” Geri explained: “I would never do that, I would never! Do you know what, the Spice Girls belongs to everyone and I think that you’re absolutely right, it deserves to be celebrated.

“At some point but I always like to be honest and straight, when the time is right, when that is, whichever date that is… I’ll tell you first!”

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1, STV, STV Player and ITVX
