Pick of the Plots: Wednesday 6th December

Kat catches Phil searching The Arches. She is incredulous when Phil shares his evidence and suggests that the money is likely to be closer to home if Karen has it.

Phil goes to 23b but gets turned away by Felix. Later, he sneakily sends Tommy over and the youngster finds the money hidden under Karen’s bed.

Meanwhile, Sharon excitedly announces she and Keanu will hold their wedding reception at The Vic on Christmas Day, just before Phil bursts in to tell her that Karen and Keanu staged Albie’s kidnap for money.

Elsewhere, Jack launches a charm offensive on Denise to get her to forgive him over the Sam debacle. However, they fall out again when Denise discovers Dean is back and Jack didn’t tell her.

Jack seeks support from Stacey before Denise gives him an ultimatum – either Sam goes or she will.

Also, Yolande starts recruiting for her community choir but with little success.

Ryan tells Crystal that he is still going for the interview at the gym as he wants to keep his options open. When Ryan blanks Daisy when she comes into the café, Crystal confronts Daisy, asking if there is something going on between them. Daisy denies it but calls round to tell Ryan that Crystal is suspicious.

Unaware that his camera is still on from his interview video practice, Ryan admits that he still has feelings for Daisy and the sex was fantastic. The footage is found by Simon who sends it to a devastated Daniel.

Meanwhile, Isla calls at No.7 and admits to Asha that she likes her but respects the fact she’s with Nina and reckons it’s a good idea for her to switch mentors.

Asha tells Nina about Isla’s crush on her. How will Nina react to having her fears confirmed?

Elsewhere, Evelyn witnesses a man mistreating his dog and remonstrates with him. Roy comes to Evelyn’s aid but he’s terrified when Terry, the dog owner, turns on him instead.

Cassie comes over to help allowing Roy to take some footage on his phone. Tyrone reports the incident to the police.

Also, Gemma is worried when Chesney says that Linda is coming to stay.

Coronation Street, ITV1, tonight at 8pm

Rhona and an uneasy Mary walk towards Gus’ front door. Unimpressed Gus stares at them, shattered. An encouraged Rhona wastes no time stepping inside when Gus agrees to their help.

When exhausted Gus falls asleep, Rhona takes the opportunity to cradle a sleeping Ivy.

Mary is alarmed to see Rhona holding Ivy. Gus is furious when he wakes up and tells them to leave.

Meanwhile, a loved-up Nate and Tracy spend time together and Tracy tries to avoid Caleb’s eye.
