Pick of the Plots: Monday 4th December

Karen splashes the cash in The Vic, irking Mitch and arousing Phil’s suspicions. Mitch confronts Keanu over the kidnap plot, but he’s unrepentant.

Rattled by his family’s behaviour, Mitch ends up in an accident when his van hits Harvey’s taxi. Kat demands Mitch pays for the damage, and Karen goes behind his back to settle the debt using the stolen Mitchell money unaware that a savvy Phil has marked the bills.

Phil examines the notes that Karen paid with and sees they are his, but Kat demands more proof. After asking Sam for help, Phil obtains the evidence he needs to establish that Karen and Keanu staged Albie’s kidnapping.

Meanwhile, Jack agrees to look after baby Charli. However, he is out of practice and ends up calling Stacey for help.

Denise arrives home from holiday early and before Jack can reveal that Sam is staying with them, she bursts in, much to Denise’s disgust.

Elsewhere, Elaine is determined to ensure that the Square’s Christmas festivities are a success since The Vic is sponsoring them.

Back at No.5, Joseph complains of a headache. As Gemma finds some painkillers, she hears a knock at the door. She’s taken aback to find it’s Caitlin. As Caitlin takes in the scene, she’s deeply unimpressed.

Meanwhile, Asha meets up with Isla to study but is confused when Isla says she would rather spend the day getting drunk in the Bistro. A tipsy Isla confides that her ex-boyfriend is pestering her but she’s gone off men and is thinking of trying women instead.

Nina arrives to find Asha and Isla giggling and gripping each other’s hands across the table.

Elsewhere, Ryan tells Crystal about his new job opportunity. Crystal covers and makes out she’s thrilled for him. Crystal tells Daisy and Daniel about Ryan’s new job, she reveals that she’s moving to Glasgow, she was hoping he might go with her and she would value their opinion. How will Daisy react?

Also, Lauren receives a parcel containing a beautiful necklace. She tells Max and Shona that it’s a present from her rich boyfriend.
