Pick of the Plots: Friday 1st December

In the flower shop flat, Billy shows Paul the Christmas jumpers he’s bought, determined they get into a Christmassy mood for lunch at No.5.

With the Christmas lunch in full swing with Paul, Billy, Bernie Gemma and the quads having a great time, the mood is killed when Chesney and Joseph return home from the hospital with a child protection officer who wants to interview Gemma.

With everyone out of the house, Caitlin questions a horrified Gemma and suggests that she may have poisoned Joseph on purpose.

Meanwhile, Max returns the watch to Lauren and explains that it’s too generous a gift and he can’t accept it. Shona listens, mildly suspicious.

In the café, Bernie tells Shona about the missing £80 from the till. Shona confronts Lauren and accuses her of stealing the money to buy the watch and suspends her. Lauren’s horrified.

Lauren tells Shona she doesn’t need the job as she has a rich boyfriend. Max and Sabrina head round to Lauren’s flat with cake and cider.

Elsewhere, Nina catches Asha bigging her up to her friends.

Ethan is rocked by an invitation.

Meanwhile, Suni is not in a good place.

Also, Tracy accepts Eric’s offer of becoming the new shop manager.

Nadira goes round to Peri’s. Unable to bear the weight of it all anymore, Peri admits what happened with Romeo.

Meanwhile, Felix asks Mercedes to go with him to his therapy session. During the session, he opens up about his failure as a father and shares his gratitude for Mercedes and her support.

Later, Felix tells Mercedes that he’s never been so open with anyone and he won’t let anything get between them.

Elsewhere, Ste and James confront Dillon but he denies all bullying claims. Wanting to hide from his dad, Lucas bumps into Cindy, who shares some information with him regarding James’ dad Mac.

Lucas bunks off school. When Ste and James find him at home, they question him. He ends up revealing that he lied about Dillon bullying him. Leah has words with Lucas, trying to stop him from ruining their dad’s marriage and happiness, but Lucas has other ideas.
