On December 6th, BBC World Questions, the BBC World Service programme that puts people and their questions at the heart of the debate, comes to Lusaka to bring together leading figures and the public to discuss the issues that matter most to the people of Zambia.
The Beeb’s Jonny Dymond presents on location at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre with a panel of leading politicians and opinion formers in a debate led entirely by questions from a public audience.

Zambia is one the world’s biggest exporters of copper, has a youthful population and is one of the most stable democracies in Africa, but it faces challenges: high fuel prices, rising costs, persistent poverty and claims that political rights are under threat. What are the country’s priorities in a fast-changing world?
The political panel to debate questions on the country’s issues put to them by a public audience in Lusaka, Zambia include Cornelius Mweetwa, MP – Minister for Media and Information, Government Spokesperson, Linda Kasonde – Former President of the Law Association of Zambia, and Executive Director of Chapter One Foundation, Chishala Kateka – Economist and Leader of the New Heritage Party and Brian Mundubile, MP – Opposition Member in Parliament, former Minister for Northern Province
