ATV Today joined the congregation at Coventry New Cathedral, to mark 40 years since the city was razed to the ground by German bombers, a service of reconciliation was held in the new Cathedral.
The service was attended by ambassadors from Poland, Yugoslavia, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany.
The report features moments from the service in progress including the Provost of Coventry speaking. Wendy Nelson spoke with former Prime Minister Edward Heath after the service. He said that Coventry had learnt that there was nothing to be gained from resentment, anger and looking back all the time.
