A whole host of celebrities will feature across the sixteen episodes of the forthcoming series presented by Romesh Ranganathan.
Romesh Ranganathan:
“I’m genuinely delighted to be hosting this iconic show once again. It’s the best series we’ve done so far and although I would still say that if it wasn’t true, it really is.”
The series kicks off with an EastEnders special, featuring Natalie Cassidy, Kellie Bright, Brian Conley, Ross Boatman, Danielle Harold, Tony Clay, Lorraine Stanley and Delroy Atkinson. Who will bank up to £50,000 and who will do the Walk Of Shame back to Albert Square?
Romesh Ranganathan:
“Who thinks Dirty Den is what I call my bedroom? Who thinks Dot Cotton is what you type at the end of an email address?”
Stars appearing in other editions including Kimberly Wyatt, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Helen Flanagan, Stacey Dooley, Gregg Wallace, Josie Gibson, Joey Essex, Charlotte Crosby, Dianne Buswell, Nikita Kanda, Ekin-su Cülcüloğlu, JB Gill, Harry Judd, Alex Jones, Danny Beard, Guz Khan, Roisin Conaty, Stephen Mangan, Bez and GK Barry to name just a few.
Each week eight celebrities show off their general knowledge skills to win money for their chosen charity. In each round, one player will be voted The Weakest Link by their fellow contestants and will leave with nothing.
Themed episodes in the new series include a Christmas special, News & Current Affairs special, a Radio special and an Olympic & Paralympic gold medal winners special.
Kalpna Patel-Knight, BBC Head of Entertainment:
“The Weakest Link returns with its quick-fire questions and competitive gameplay once again. All of this combined with Romesh’s razor sharp wit, a fresh gaggle of celebrity contestants and themed episodes means another great series lies ahead, with something for everyone to enjoy!”
The Weakest Link returns to BBC One on Saturday 18th November at 5:55 pm
