Xander catches Rose up on the story of Mali’s ‘Promised Wife’ Zara, and Rose decides she needs to drop by for the full scoop. Meanwhile, at home, Zara is impressed by Mali’s growth in maturity since they were dating, and finally she reveals her true motivations. When they split, Mali told her he would be waiting for her, and now she’s ready. When Rose turns up with pizzas, Zara makes it clear that she and Mali were one another’s first love, and Mali is quick to cite that as ancient history. It’s a confusing situation, and Rose leaves for the night. Zara stays up late trying to convince Mali of their potential together – Imagine what their families would say if the promised couple were reunited.
A reflective Remi is opening up to Bree with his true feelings regarding his current work as a session musician. And it starts with a proper, romantic date. But even with a relaxed atmosphere, Remi is the first to admit he’s not the best company. His mind is on the fact that he’ll be having late nights in the studio all week. Bree catches him awake in the middle of the night and assures her that if his mental health hasn’t improved after these next few weeks, then he’s willing to go see someone. Bree agrees to the plan, and if he’s open to the company, she’ll be by his side.
Justin is eager to commence the luxury hotel getaway that he and Leah won. But Leah is hard to convince. Leah wants to be close by Marilyn to support her through her tension with Roo. Marilyn insists there’s nothing to worry about and persuades them to depart. Afterwards, Marilyn goes to confront Roo, sick of lying to Alf and pretending things are okay, but Roo is unwilling to mend the friendship. The sooner Roo can find a nurse to replace Marilyn, the better as far as she’s concerned.
