Today in Summer Bay…
Tane puts his case to Felicity – she should not make decisions out of fear alone. Felicity counters – fear is a plenty good reason not to want to have a baby. And besides, she was always straight with him about not wanting a child, and he told her she was enough for him. Is she still enough? Tane reassures his wife – he knows it’s her decision, and he respects that. Felicity tells Tane it’s a no “for now” but is quick to extinguish false hope – she may never change her mind on this, and he needs to be prepared for that.
Eden presses Cash over his suspension but Cash doesn’t want to hear it. Frustrated, he turns on his partner, suggesting Eden should be focused on her own career crisis rather than his. Later, he apologises for snapping at her and Eden in turn says sorry for pushing – she just knows how much Cash loves being a cop. United, they’ll get through whatever happens next, together. Cash also meets up with Harper and allays some of her guilt. He knew what he was doing when he offered to help, and he’s glad he did. His future though is up in the air, and so too are Irene and Harper’s – will the DPP bring charges against them for protecting Dana?
Justin accosts Leah at the Diner – he wants her to rescind the offer for Marilyn to live with them. Leah firmly disagrees. Marilyn is their friend and she’s in crisis. She needs their help. Meanwhile, Marilyn is focused on Roo’s homecoming. She selflessly prepares the house she’s being kicked out of for her estranged friend’s comfort. Beaten down by Justin’s complaining, Leah concedes – they can ask Marilyn to stay elsewhere, but Justin must be the one to do it. When he sees how distressed Marilyn is over the loss of her friendship with Roo, he can’t bring himself to do it, and Marilyn moves in that night.
