Racism. Murder. Injustice. This STV-produced series for the Beeb offers an insight into the work of one of Scotland’s most disruptive law firms – Aamer Anwar & Co – as they take on some of the country’s biggest institutions.

In this second episode, evidence from Britain’s most deadly terror attack, in which 270 people died, arrives. Aamer weighs the possibility of a new appeal into the Lockerbie Bombing and whether the man long-held responsible was wrongly convicted.

Meanwhile, the grieving family of Joseph Sneddon appeal to the firm for help as they seek answers to the questions that surround the death of their relative. In the throes of a mental health crisis, Joseph, who was in hospital at the time, came into contact with the police and died after hours of restraint. Now his family want to know how Joseph died, and why police officers were involved.

Chanelle is called to the Diary Room by Big Brother. “All you need to do is pay your housemates a nice little compliment but they must all be backhanded compliments.” Big Brother adds: “If you complete your mission, you’ll win a huge jar of sweets for you and the house.” Chanelle heads back into the house wearing a hidden earpiece as she sets out to complete her secret mission which includes backhand complimenting Kerry’s jumper, Matty’s hat, Jenkin’s accent, Jordan’s smile and Dylan’s hairdressing skills. Will Chanelle be successful in her secret mission? How will the housemates feel about her backhanded compliments?

Noky is called to the Diary Room and is asked to take the family photos the housemates had given Big Brother into the house. Housemates can’t contain their excitement as one by one they talk about their photo. Speaking about their family members and loved ones, housemates become emotional. However, Jordan has decided to bring a different type of photo to the Big Brother house. Speaking about his photo, Jordan says: “When they asked me to provide a photograph of loved ones I didn’t want to. They said you can provide a photo of yourself and although I was tempted, I instead provided a photograph of a place I love – it’s in Seville.”

The show that celebrates the beauty of wood and the talented woodworkers who craft it continues.

Mel Giedroyc hosts, as 10 woodworking enthusiasts compete to be crowned Britain’s Best Woodworker. Fighting hammer and nail to build wonderful works of wood that combine epic scale with fine craftsmanship and cutting-edge design, the woodworkers face a range of challenges to impress the judges – Entrepreneur and woodworking expert Sophie Sellu and design academic Tom Dyckhoff.

The nine remaining enthusiasts have just two days to make a beautiful freestanding handcrafted clock inspired by an important time in their life. But as time ticks by, little goes to plan, and the woodworkers are tested to their limits.

The skills chance gives them a chance to earn immunity from elimination, by reproducing a bunch of realistic roses from delicate pieces of wood planed from a block of ash. Which woodworker can convince judges Sophie and Tom that they’re blooming marvellous, and whose time is up?
