Pick of the Plots: Wednesday 16th August

Alfie tries to keep himself busy and offers his support to Linda who is contemplating applying for custody of Mick and Janine’s baby. He offers to be there for her later when she meets a solicitor.

Unable to put it off any longer, Alfie books a cab to the hospital, and is observed getting into it by Tommy.

Later, Alfie gets drunk at Peggy’s and falls out with Phil, before heading to The Vic to apologise to Linda for missing the meeting. Linda notices Alfie is not his usual self, but Alfie covers

Meanwhile, Stacey sees Eve has a date later with Caz who is posing as ‘Amanda’ when Eve leaves her phone unattended. When Stacey receives another letter from her stalker, Eve insists she can’t go, but Stacey insists she go and lends her a new outfit. The date is awkward and Eve goes to leave before ‘Amanda’ stops her in her tracks and reveals her true identity.

Elsewhere, Vinny convinces Suki to attend a pamper session at Fox & Hair.

Also, Freddie tries to play matchmaker between Anna and Bobby.

Tyrone leaves a message for Evelyn, letting her know it is the girls’ show today at the Bistro and they would love her support. Over at the precinct, Evelyn and Cassie move into a rented flat when Evelyn gets the message, but she tells Cassie she won’t be going as she can’t leave her on her own.

Cassie has other ideas and convinces Evelyn to let her go out to grab a coffee as she has been clean for weeks and is bored. When Evelyn spots her purse is missing, she fears the worst.

Later, Cassie arrives at the Bistro where Tyrone recognises her as Cath, the friend of James and wonders if she has heard anything from Evelyn. A breathless Evelyn hurries into the Bistro, just in time to hear Cassie reveal to Tyrone that she’s his mum. How will he react?

Meanwhile, Peter tells Carla to keep an eye on Stephen as he can’t be trusted. Lou comes to the factory for a meeting but reveals that she has really come to find out who stole the tie pin.

Elsewhere, Lauren calls at No.8 for her things and inadvertently lets slip to Max and Shona that she made a pass at Roy as that is what men expect. What will she do now?

Also, Ryan pulls out a box of steroids from under his bed, but despairs when he discovers the vials have leaked.

Meanwhile, after having attended the trial and to prove she is moving on, Mary nonchalantly claims to have a date tomorrow, leaving Rhona and Marlon impressed.

Elsewhere, concerned about her mum’s bruises, Peri discovers that Donna-Marie is staying at the gym. Joel is curious as to why Leela is upping the security at the gym, unaware it’s so she can keep tabs on her struggling friend.

At a double date with Sharon and Warren, Leela is hooked to her phone watching the new security cameras.
