The return of Sex and the City sequel, ‘And Just Like That…’ has sparked a surge in Brits searching for the characters’ eye-catching fashion choices.
According to new data from Google Trends, searches for ‘Sex and the City wedding dress’ have rocketed by 2,050% following the first episode, which saw Carrie Bradshaw repurpose her infamous Vivienne Westwood wedding dress for the show’s ‘Veiled Beauty’ themed Met Ball. Although it’s been a quarter of a century since Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda first appeared on our screens, it seems fans are still eager to replicate the styles of the fashionable trio, as well as new fan-favourite, Seema.
Following the season premiere, La Redoute has seen a spike in online searches for its maxi dresses (+140%), fitted blazers (+130%) and linen jumpsuits (+50%) which the characters have all worn onscreen in the first few episodes.
To help recreate the aesthetics of the main characters, the French fashion online retailer has shared its most fitting choices – and luckily, you don’t need a Manhattan ‘it girl’ budget to get the look.
Sarah Link, Head of Marketing at La Redoute:
“Sex and the City was a series that transcended the boundaries of style, class, and culture. The main character’s style of dressing was uncomplicated, yet well-planned and trendsetting, so it’s no surprise to see our shoppers are still taking inspiration from the famous trio in ‘And Just Like That…’.
“As the new series continues to grab headlines, we’re seeing our shoppers search for vibrant midaxi dresses, fitted blazers and linen jumpsuits, so it’s great news that we’ve got an array of options to easily recreate the sophisticated styles of Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Seema.”
HOW TO RECREATE CARRIE’S STYLE:
As the show’s main character, all fashion-eyes are on her. Carrie’s style is cool, comfortable yet kitsch and she’s not afraid to make a statement, whether that’s by wearing a Dior Newspaper Dress, to her most recent JW Anderson Pigeon Clutch.
Pair your statement accessories with La Redoute’s Recycled Full Midaxi Dress with Short Puff Sleeves, teamed with La Redoute’s Loose Fit Blazer, the ultimate contrast of femininity and a more structured silhouette.

HOW TO RECREATE MIRANDA’S STYLE:
She was often labelled the tomboy of the group and she would never be far from a trouser suit or an oversized shirt.
However, Miranda’s fashion has evolved in ‘And Just Like That….’ to be more playful and flowy – ensuring comfort while living near the beach shores of LA. The redhead was wearing a colourful maxi dress in the first episode, which viewers can easily emulate with La Redoute’s Molly Bracken Striped Maxi Cami Dress.
Tailored garments and versatile pieces will also help you get Miranda’s laid-back style, including the La Redoute Stonewashed Denim Dungarees and the La Redoute Short Sleeve Jumpsuit.

HOW TO RECREATE CHARLOTTE’S STYLE:
Charlotte loved a feminine, floral print. Her style was ladylike yet simple and coy. The most feminine of the group, she was known for a simple blouse and an ever-so-charming pastel prom skirt. To achieve Charlotte’s feminine look, try the Pleated Midaxi Polka Dot Print Skirt or the Derhy Penelope Knee-Length Dress, which both exude refinement and sophistication.
Charlotte was never too far from a Lady Dior bag and shoppers can steal her style with La Redoute’s Almond Green Handbag which is over £4,000 cheaper.

HOW TO RECREATE NEWCOMER, SEEMA’S STYLE:
While viewers have lauded over the trio’s style for almost 24 years, the break-out style star of ‘And Just Like That…’ is undoubtedly Seema.
Styled in sumptuous beiges and never afraid to be adorned in fearless animal print, Seema is the blueprint for power dressing. Star-studded viewers can replicate her style with La Redoute’s Recycled Faux Leather Skirt and Tie-Back Blouse with Crew Neck, completing the look with the Leopard Print Circle Crossbody Bag.
