ITV News has appointed Ed Saunt to the newly-created role of Head of Content.
Ed will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of content across all ITV News platforms, including TV, ITVX, and digital.

Ed joined ITV News in 2010 as a trainee, producing programmes at ITV West Country and ITV Granada. Ed then joined ITN almost ten years ago, most recently working as Senior Programme Editor of the Evening News. He also played a pivotal role in the success of many other ITV News programmes, including ITV News London, Lunchtime News, News at Ten.
Recently, he spearheaded the expansion of the Evening News to an hour-long programme and previously edited special programming, including the UK General Election 2019 and the US Presidential Election 2020 overnight coverage.
As Head of Content, Ed will oversee the delivery of news content to all ITV News platforms – TV output, digital and ITVX. This newly established position replaces the Head of Output role and is part of ITV News’s strategy to prioritise content on equally on all platforms.
Ed will assume his role as Head of Content on Monday 10th July 2023. ITV News is produced by ITN for the network.
