The British Soap Awards – screening tonight on ITV1 and STV – celebrates and honours the incredible achievements in the nation’s beloved soaps during a sparkling and star-studded ceremony.
Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks will once again go head to head to find out who will be going home with this year’s coveted awards.
Super soap fan Jane McDonald is the host with the most stepping into present the gong show where previous names such as Richard Madeley, Judy Finnigan, Des O’Connor and Paul O’Grady have gone before.

The awards were held at the weekend at The Lowry in Salford and once again celebrated the nation’s biggest and most-loved soap operas. As always, the numerous awards will be presented by an array of well-known faces from across the TV and showbiz world.
The five biggest soaps – Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks – will be battling it out to win recognition for their work over the past year. Some of the biggest faces from all five soaps will be hitting the red carpet for the most star-studded and glamorous event in the soap calendar.
The British Soap Awards 2023, ITV1/STV from 8pm
