Pick of the Plots: Monday 8th May

Coronation Day dawns in Walford, and the community excitedly prepare for the big celebrations in the Square.

As the festivities begin, the residents take in the historical moment before there’s a performance from both Kim and Felix as Dusty Springfield. However, Kim’s stress levels are at an all-time high, and when she can’t see Denzel in the crowd, she freaks out.

Meanwhile, Billy and Honey are frazzled as they try to create the perfect memory for Lola.

Elsewhere, Sonia wakes up to birthday treats but no Reiss. Rocky shares his suspicions about Reiss with Kathy but she tells him to drop it. Later, as Rocky finally confronts Reiss about what he overheard, they’re interrupted by Sonia.

Reiss decides to be honest with Sonia, who goes mad and orders him out of her life.

Elsewhere, Karen’s shocked by the news of Keanu and Sharon’s engagement. Keanu turns down the idea of celebrating at The Vic for fear of enraging Nish. Terrified for her son’s safety, Karen visits Suki to beg her, mother to mother, to get Nish to drop his vendetta.

Also, Linda struggles to be honest with Sharon about her plans for The Vic.

Sarah overhears Dee-Dee and Beth gossiping about Damon’s black eye and calls at the Bistro to find Damon there alone. When Damon leans in and kisses her, Sarah reciprocates and they head into the office, locking the door behind them.

Later, Adam and Dee-Dee tell Leanne that they called at the Bistro as they need a meeting about the late licence, but they found the place locked. Nick, Leanne, Adam and Dee-Dee head into the Bistro wondering where Damon’s got to. In the office Sarah and Damon freeze with fear, will they be caught red-handed?

After attending his plea hearing, Paul’s gutted to realise that he’s up for sentencing the day before Gemma’s wedding.

Meanwhile, Daniel feels a pang of jealousy when Daisy calls over to see Ryan. Alone in the flat, Ryan’s overcome by a wave of pain and instinctively he calls Crystal.

In The Rovers, Daisy ignores the call but when Daisy’s phone rings again, Daniel urges her to call Ryan back. Daisy texts Ryan pretending to be Crystal.

Elsewhere, in The Rovers, Jenny lays on a spread to celebrate the King’s Coronation.

Also, after listening into Stephen’s conversation with Owen, Beth reports back to the workers that Owen is looking to outsource, what will this mean for the workers?

Mandy reassures Paddy that he’s dealing with his grief in a healthy way, but when the moment becomes intimate, Mandy’s not sure how to handle the situation.

When Mandy and Paddy reflect on their relationship, things soon heat up when the two end up in a passionate snog.

As Mandy worries that they’ve made a mistake, Paddy rushes off, upset he’s overstepped the mark.

Meanwhile, Nate worries Mack is deluding himself when he contemplates balancing his marriage with Charity and a secret life with his son.

Elsewhere, an excited Gabby celebrates getting an official wedding date and proceeds to drag Nicky upstairs. Later, Nicky’s sheepish after a non-starter in the bedroom with Gabby.
