Tamsin Greig to star in The Deep Blue Sea at the Theatre Royal Bath

Tamsin Greig will star in The Deep Blue Sea, Terence Rattigan’s 1950’s study of obsession and the destructive power of love, which will play the Ustinov Studio, Theatre Royal Bath next Spring, 25 April – 25 May 2024.

The show has been billed as a ‘powerful drama of passion versus loyalty’.

A hopeless affair is engulfing Hester Coller, the daughter of a cleric and wife of a judge.

Her lover Freddie Page, an ex-Battle of Britain pilot who is handsome but shallow, is overwhelmed by the intensity of an emotion he cannot reciprocate…

The month-long run will be directed by Lindsay Posner.

A seasoned stage performer, Greig won the Olivier Award for Best Actress in 2007 for Much Ado About Nothing, and has also been nominated for The Little Dog Laughed and Women on the Verge of a Breakdown.

Her screen credits include Green Wing, Love Soup and Friday Night Dinner.
