ATV Today reporter Reg Harcourt takes a trip back to the world of steam trains – not so distant at the time with many still in operation on British Rail in the sixties. But as electric and diesel have become the way of train travel, in the 1970s, Reg interviewed Sir Gerald Nabarro MP about his involvement with the Severn Valley steam railway in Shropshire and why these mighty coal-powered machines should continue rather than become industrial dinosaurs.
