As Ant and Dec host their final Takeaway of the series ITV celebrate its success
The broadcaster notes the series has performed well across its seven week run
Tonight on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player there’s double the SNT fun with the series finale of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and the specially commissioned fly-on-the-wall documentary ‘Behind the Screens’.
Ahead of the final edition of the current run ITV has been celebrating the success of the format, noting that the current series of SNT has consistently been the most watched TV programme of the day across all channels for all individuals, 16-34s and children every Saturday that it has aired.
Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is currently averaging 5.5 million viewers, while the launch averaged 6.4 million. The launch is the biggest entertainment audience on any channel so far this year, as well as achieving the biggest children’s audience across all channels of the year so far. ITV also note that the Series 19 launch is also ITV1’s biggest overnight audience of the year so far.
The show has also achieved 3.8m programme streams across the first six episodes so far on ITVX.
Coming up on this evening’s episode the Guest Announcer is Nicole Scherzinger while there’s a special series finale EOTSS and the climax of Murder at Bigwig Manor.
Also, SingAlong Live, huge live surprises for the audience at Universal Orlando Resort and viewers at home and the final of Ant vs Dec – who will be crowned the winner? There is also, with the show being stateside a special In For A Cent with Stephen Mulhern.
