Today, Martin Lewis kicked off his regular co-hosting duties on Good Morning Britain with his first ‘Wallet Wednesday’ – helping viewers with money questions and queries amidst the cost of living crisis.
Throughout today’s show alongside host Susanna Reid, Martin answered questions from the public and shared advice on a number of money matters as we approach the end of the current tax year including, ISAs, PPI, Marriage Tax Allowance, State Pension Buyback, Energy Tariffs and Broadband.
Susanna Reid opened the segment saying, “Good to have you here, this is going to be a regular event that you come in. I call you the unofficial hero of the cost of living crisis and also the real Shadow Chancellor – no disrespect to the actual Shadow Chancellor!”
Within the show we also heard from a number of viewers who have recently benefited from Martin’s advice, such as someone who managed to get their grandmother’s phone bill down from £47 per month to 99p for the first 6 months and then to £4.99 per month and another who received almost £1,000 back from a HMRC tax refund.
