Pick of the Plots: Monday 27th March

Kat, Sharon and Phil host an opening event for the Boxing Den. Eager to impress Phil, Ben steps in at the last minute to take part in a demo as one of the boxers is taken ill, but it doesn’t go his way.

Sharon dismisses Keanu once again, causing him to be downbeat. Nevertheless, with encouragement from Sam and Karen, he proclaims his love and proposes to a horrified Sharon at the gym.

Meanwhile, Lola is busy making preparations for her charity fundraising event, but is stopped in her tracks when the hospital ask her to come in for an early appointment. Jay tries to hide his concerns from a panicked Lola, and remains optimistic about the visit.

Elsewhere, Linda frets as she waits for an update from her lawyer on the status of Janine’s plea and starts to worry about the potential of a trial. Sharon and Alfie rally around Linda and convince her to attend the gym opening. At the gym, Linda and Alfie bond over their shared history with boxing, and Linda later gets an update on Janine

Also, Rocky worries that his past will catch up with him as he and Kathy prepare to meet the Vicar to discuss their upcoming nuptials. Rocky struggles to contain his guilt as he overhears Kathy gushing to Bobby about her second chance at love.

While stepping outside for some air, Rocky runs into Sonia and confides in her that he got married 25 years ago and didn’t get divorced.

When Daisy wakes up with a bloodshot eye, she’s convinced her wedding is cursed – even more so when Ryan is forced to step in as chauffeur as the wedding car has been stolen and the cake arrives decorated with a retirement message.

With Jenny and Glenda’s help, Daisy arrives downstairs looking a million dollars and Jenny and Glenda leave for the venue.

As Ryan loads his car, Alya wishes him well with his new venture in Ibiza. Ryan goes into the pub for Daisy, but they’re shocked to find Justin lurking there. Justin advances on Daisy holding a glass full of clear liquid. Telling Daisy that no-one will want her after this, he throws acid at Daisy.

Meanwhile, as Paul picks up a glass of champagne in his left hand, Billy can see that he’s worried. Paul admits that he has spent every penny of the loan and has no idea how he’s going to pay it off.

Elsewhere, as Amy stands awkwardly in her bridesmaid dress, Adam gives her a friendly squeeze. Amy flinches, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Simon. However, when he tries to broach the subject, Amy snaps at him. Tracy clocks their exchange.

Amelia is pleased Samson is taking more of an interest in Esther.

Later, as Samson reluctantly babysits, Sarah discovers Esther has a burning temperature. Panicked, they call an ambulance to take her to hospital.

Meanwhile, Alex lets himself into the surgery but is shocked to find the drugs cabinet empty. However, he soon has a Plan B and urges Clare not to give up on him.

Elsewhere, Mackenzie bumps into Chloe and he’s gobsmacked to learn she is having a baby boy. There’s a charged moment between the two as Mackenzie feels the baby kick.
