24 Hours In Police Custody: The Honeytrap Murder

The second of two episodes investigating The Honeytrap Murder – the story behind the brutal murder of a man in Luton who is found dead in the hallway of a block of flats.

He has bled to death from a stab wound to his thigh and is completely naked. In the concluding episode, DI Dale Mepstead and her team from Bedfordshire’s Major Crime Unit have charged two women with murder after they were seen on CCTV paying a late-night visit to the murder victim.

Police believe he had been enticed to meet the women with the promise of sex when their real intention was to rob him. But the CCTV reveals that the two women were also accompanied by two men on the night of the murder, and unfortunately the women’s accomplices are harder to identify.

Cameras follow every twist and turn as the police track down and eventually find the men. But now, with four suspects in custody, the investigation team need to work out who is behind the honey trap plot and find the evidence that will reveal which of their suspects is responsible for the murder. This is real-life drama where the facts are more compelling than the best of crime fiction.

And she doesn’t make life easy for the budding young musicians that Becki teaches at her house either. Can Graeme help restore harmony?
