An ATV Today feature on the eight finalists in the 1979 Miss ATV competition.
Introduced by Bob Warman each of the finalists provides their own commentary about their interests and how they will spend the £500 prize money, if they should win.
We see Jenny Lee Harris who is a student at Thomas Telford High School. She is seen in the library and walking her dog. Debbie Shore from Borrowash is seen playing ten-pin bowls. Lesley Holiday from Walsall is seen shopping in Walsall market and modelling a wedding dress.
Mandy Brown from Aldridge is seen walking in her home town and playing darts. Deborah Wright from Burton Joyce is seen working in an electrical firm as is Sandy Driscoll from Cheltenham. Next is Marcia Taylor from Cradley Heath who is seen swimming and finally Kay Shaw from Uttoxeter who is seen working in promotions at a Renault car dealership.
After the main feature, there is a short film for reserve contestant Sue Lawder from Solihull who is seen walking through the town and sketching next to a river.
