The final five candidates vying to be Lord Sugar’s business partner underwent a grilling from his close associates, including aide Baroness Karren Brady, in the latest episode of The Apprentice.
Over four million viewers tuned in to the semi-final on Thursday evening, where Lord Sugar fired three candidates, leaving Rochelle Raye Anthony and Marnie Swindells to fight it out in next week’s finale.
The interviews episode featured the return of Claude Littner. Lord Sugar’s aide and friend appeared in the first episode of this series, but was forced to pull out, leaving series one winner Tim Campbell to step-in. Littner was missing from the previous series and has now revealed that his long absence was due to sustaining serious injury from a bike accident.
A fan favourite, Claude returned to grill the contestants alongside Baroness Brady, Linda Plant and Mike Soutar. The episode, which aired on BBC One, was significantly up on its overnight figures from the previous week.
The Apprentice final will air next Thursday, 23rd March at 9.00pm on BBC One where either Rochelle or Marnie will win the £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar.
