Alison Hammond to co-host The Great British Bake Off

Channel 4 have confirmed that Alison Hammond is to replace Matt Lucas as a presenter of The Great British Bake Off.

Alison will join fellow presenter, Noel Fielding and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood for the fourteenth series of the show, which will air later this year.

Alison Hammond said:

“Finally I can talk about it! I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Great British Bake Off and can’t wait to meet this year’s bakers. It’s a huge honour to be back in the tent and I can’t wait to get started”.

Alison is best known for her role on ITV1’s This Morning as a showbiz reporter and presenter. No stranger to the famous white tent, she was a contestant on a celebrity special of Bake Off in 2020.

Channel 4’s Chief Content Officer, Ian Katz, added: “Alison was a huge hit when she appeared on Celebrity Bake Off and we’re thrilled to have her back in the tent.”
