Pick of the Plots: Monday 16th January

Keen to secure the head chef role at Walford East, Zack prepares for a tasting with Nish and Suki. On their way to the restaurant, Nish and Suki overhear Chelsea talking about Zack deserting Whitney and the baby.

Zack loses his cool and storms out of the tasting when Suki expresses her disapproval of his actions. Later, Zack realises he needs to face up to things and goes to get tested for HIV.

Meanwhile, Denise makes it clear to Ravi that she’s a happily married woman, but he doesn’t think that she is being honest. Later, Ravi flirts with Chelsea.

Elsewhere, as the Slater money troubles worsen, Alfie looks for work but gets knocked back by Kat on the cabs and Kim at The Albert. But after hearing Denise has keys for The Vic, he gets Patrick to help him swipe them – he’s going to reopen the pub to help Linda.

Also, Lola excitedly asks Kim to be her Maid of Honour. Thrilled, Kim says yes and starts planning the hen party.

EastEnders, BBC One, tonight at 7.30pm

Aaron and Billy are worried that they can’t get hold of Summer. Aaron heads over to Mike’s house, but Mike says Summer has gone shopping with Esther. Aaron leaves but is suspicious. Mike finally unlocks the nursery door, but he’s horrified to find Summer unconscious. Suddenly Esther arrives and demands to know what on earth is going on.

Esther calls an ambulance while Mike spins her a tale about Summer trying to back out of the surrogacy plan and how he detained her in the hope he could change her mind. At the hospital Aggie overhears Mike giving a false name for Summer and she contacts Billy. Billy and Paul arrive and demand some answers.

Meanwhile, Sam finds Hope in the café listening to her John Stape cassette. Hope explains that by hearing her dad’s voice, she hopes to get to know him better. She is devastated when back at home the tape unspools.

Tyrone manages to sort it out, but when he presses play, he and Fiz are horrified as John Stape’s voice fills the room.

Elsewhere, Leanne is furious when Jacob fails to show up for work. When Amy reveals that Jacob has gone and they broke up because he’s drug dealing again, Leanne is furious.

Also, Daniel takes delivery of another bunch of flowers and glancing at the card, demands Daisy tell him who Justin might be. Daisy messages Justin the DJ and tells him to leave her alone.

Coronation Street, ITV1, tonight at 8pm

Desperate to get rid of Chloe and concentrate on his relationship with Charity, Mackenzie reveals to Chloe that he has paid the deposit on a flat. Feeling pushed out, Chloe is upset and angry.

Mack later insists that Chloe moves out tomorrow. A curious Sarah watches them.

Meanwhile, Kim is impressed by Gabby’s pitch about expanding the business into schools and expects her to deliver on it.

Elsewhere, Amy and Chloe make amends.
