OTD 1973: Midland Hotels in ‘Sex Maniac’s Diary’

Back exactly 50 years as ATV Today reported on how two hotels from the region had ended up featured in the Sex Maniac’s Diary.
The Lygon Arms at Broadway and the Manor House Hotel at Moreton-in-Marsh are the only Midlands hotels to feature in the 1973 publication as reporter Ruth Elliott discovered.
Ruth interviews Lord Hertford, Chairman of the West Midland Tourist Board about the two Cotswolds hotels being the only Midlands ones to feature in the dubious publication, he talks about whether this is a good or bad thing and if it will harm their reputations.
He says that he would have been delighted if his property Ragley Hall had been featured.
