OTD 1957: Santa Goes to the Co op
On this Day, November 18th, 1957
ATV Midland News reported how Father Christmas had arrived by car at a Co-op shop in Coventry.
Father Christmas was seen travelling in the back of a Triumph TR2 sports car as large crowds looked on to catch a glimpse of Santa. The Mayor of Coventry Pearl Hyde joined Santa Clause in handing out presents to local children.
