There may be fictional storms brewing across Yorkshire in Emmerdale this week, but back in the late 1960s, there was a real windy event taking place in the south of the ATV Midlands region this October.
ATV Midland News cameras captured the aftermath of the strong winds that left houses and prefabs on an Oxford housing estate damaged by what residents described as a whirlwind.
