The drama will return to UKTV in 2023.
Following the success of the latest series, hit nineteen century crime drama Miss Scarlet and the Duke will return to Alibi for a third instalment in early 2023. The third series of Miss Scarlet and the Duke will continue to follow Kate Phillips (Peaky Blinders, The Crown) as the fearless female detective Eliza Scarlet, and Stuart Martin (Army of Thieves, Jamestown) as her childhood friend and will-they-won’t-they love interest, Inspector William ‘The Duke’ Wellington.
Miss Scarlet and The Duke is created by Rachael New, who writes the series alongside Ben Edwards. Executive producers are Patrick Irwin, Patricia Lenahan Ishimoto, Harvey Myman and Jin Ishimoto. The series is directed by Steve Hughes and Ivan Zivkovic, and the series is distributed by PBSd.
Emma Ayech, channel director for Alibi:
“The Alibi audience are huge fans of this series, so we’re really pleased that we can bring them more of what they love. I’m excited to see where Eliza and the Duke’s relationship will go and thankfully, we don’t have too long to wait.”
