Ranking first is the Netflix show ‘Dark’ which came out in 2017. The Mystery/Sci-Fi thriller managed to get renewed for three seasons before ultimately getting canceled due to the parties involved not wishing to renew a contract. Despite that, ‘Dark’ managed to get an IMDb rating of 8.7, which was collated from over 350,000 ratings.
Proceeding down the list, in fourth place is ‘The Punisher’. The Marvel show first aired in November of 2017 and proceeded for two full seasons where on IMDb it scored an impressive 8.5. The show was eventually cancelled, which was due to Netflix and Disney cutting ties, whilst Disney had ownership of all things Marvel. Audiences took to social media to express their disappointment. One audience member in particular to voice their opinion was rapper Eminem, who’s tweet gained over 450,000 likes.
Coming last is ‘Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj’ which is a show that covers cultural and political news and trends in the format of a comedy show. The show was cancelled after a successful 39 episodes across two years from encountering the pandemic and the issues that having a live audience posed. The show scored an 8.2 on IMDb. Although, this score only came from around 7,000 ratings which suggests it wasn’t as popular as its axed rivals.
