On this Day: December 8th, 1969.

ATV Today reporter Sue Jay visits an engineering firm in Smethwick to find out how the coin can be forged starting with a blank the size of a half-crown.

Mr Wheeler stamps out the new seven-sided shape from the blank using a hand press and Mr Brown explains how a forger could carry out the same procedure and talks about the raised edge on the coin.
