Your Pick of the Plots for Monday, August 23.

Keegan admits to Mitch that he cheated on Tiffany. He’s conflicted when his dad advises him to tell Whitney the truth while Dotty tries to dissuade him from being honest. The decision is taken out of Keegan’s hands by an eavesdropping Vinny who wastes no time in telling Tiffany what Keegan and Dotty have been up to.

Meanwhile, Bobby suggests to Kathy that she finds someone else to take her mind off Rocky. Later, at The Vic, Whitney is nervous about her charity gig, while Bobby and Dana are shocked to see Kathy with Harvey.

Whitney tries to leave but is stopped by Rocky; eventually she finds the courage to take to the stage and proves a hit with the audience. Kathy is stung by Rocky’s nonchalance.

Elsewhere, Vinny pitches a business idea to Karen, there is a catastrophe in the Vic kitchen, and Kat confiscates Tommy’s devices after finding out he’s been talking to a woman online.

EastEnders, BBC One, 8.05pm

Maria tells Gary that Imran doesn’t have enough funds to give him the best shot at clearing Kelly’s name. Gary is given food for thought but Maria warns him not to put Kelly before her and Liam. Later, Maria is frantic when Liam is taken ill and diagnosed with asthma.

Deciding that Underworld’s van is responsible for a large share of local air pollution, Maria insists Sarah take it off the road.  Sarah refuses and is shocked by Maria’s reaction.

Meanwhile, Tyrone is guilt ridden about his feelings for Fiz and it’s awkward as they meet the youth justice worker. Emma is suspicious when she overhears them talking. Tyrone tries to find out how much she overheard.

Later, Tyrone presents Alina with the expensive ring she wanted.  Alina’s thrilled, while Emma tries to work out if he’s genuine or if the gesture is purely for her benefit.

Elsewhere, Imran’s ex-wife Sabeen informs him she’s a barrister on Corey’s large defence team. Daisy urges Ronnie to make a move on Jenny.

Coronation Street, ITV, 7.30pm and 8.30pm

Wendy is shaken to find her abusive ex-husband Russ on her doorstep. Russ is angry that his mother has left everything to Harry in her will.

Feeling bullied and conflicted, Wendy introduces Russ to Victoria as Harry’s granddad.

Meanwhile, Chloe turns up again and Sarah apologises. Chloe tells Sarah that whenever she is ready to know more about Gemma, her late sister, she can.

Elsewhere, Ryan is up to no good. Ethan’s one-night stand comes back to haunt him.

Emmerdale, ITV, 7pm

Maxine wakes up next to a naked Fergus. She wants to be honest about their rendezvous, but he tries to guilt her into keeping it a secret. Fergus also has a big proposition for Trish.

Warren is nervous about seeing his children again, and is hurt when Maxine doesn’t show up to support him. Later, Maxine makes a huge decision.

Meanwhile, a reformed Cher doesn’t like watching her dad scramble for money for his fertility treatment, so she transfers him her own savings. Sylver refuses to accept it, and instead makes a deal with Fergus. Later, Romeo starts to feel guilty about what he’s hiding from Cher.

Elsewhere, Juliet realises that Sid is swerving texts from Demi and he admits to her that he’s trying to hide his prosthetic from her.
