Vitamin Sea Collection is launching a ‘Workout & Waves’ program, a month of surf and fitness-focused content to get women to shred ready for surfing this summer.
Due to pandemic-related restricted travel, there has been a huge rise in people heading to local coastlines for some Vitamin Sea and to catch waves.
But it is a demanding sport and hard to learn which is why Vitamin Sea Collective’s new ‘Workout & Waves’ programme aims to improve fitness, help women to catch waves and get the surfing bug.
Running throughout April, this special month is for beginner and intermediate surfers and aims to push participants outside of their comfort zone, increase stamina to surf hard, improve mental strength to help tackle the waves, increase surfing ability and get shred ready for summer.
Workout & Waves will focus on:
◊ Strength training which is important for surf efficiency.
◊ Cardio to build lung capacity and aerobic performance.
◊ Yoga for balance and flexibility in order to control mobility.
◊ Surf instruction from complete beginner to intermediate,
◊ covering pop-ups, paddling, catching green waves,
◊ bottom turning, trimming, and duck diving.
◊ Psychological tutorials on how to make surfing fun and
◊ overcome fear.
◊ Information on waves, safety and equipment.
An all-female team of global experts have been gathered to carry out the training, with tried and tested strategies to make sure all achieve their goals.
