Pick of the Plots: Thursday 10th December

The investigation into Ian’s attack continues but as alibis are given, other information comes to light giving the police more leads.

Meanwhile, Kat finds herself face to face with Jack in the café and he is clearly not pleased to see her after their last encounter, however it is Kat that is left stunned when Jack tells her that Kush has turned himself in. Phil reels from the news and makes a stark warning, while hurt at Kush’s actions, Kat continues to ponder leaving the Square.

Elsewhere, Honey informs Jay that Paul has been convicted for assaulting another woman and is going to prison. They are interrupted by Suki calling out a thief, only to find it is Will who has food stashed in his bag. Suki revels in wanting to make an example of Will, but her position changes when the teenager notes that the items he tried to purloin are out of date.

EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.

At the hospital, Laurel and Jai are told the results of the CVS test. Their baby has Down’s syndrome. On returning home, they are shocked to discover that, while they were gone, Gabby found the scan picture. The kids are excited.

Later, Laurel speaks to Rhona about the test results. Rhona is left upset and angry that Laurel has put her in this situation and Laurel is left devastated.

Meanwhile, Tracy tries to get Liam and Leyla back together. She ropes Nate into her plan.

Elsewhere, Harriet frets that Malone’s body may be discovered sooner rather than later. Harriet tells Will and he’s panicked too – something has to be done.

Elsewhere, Tony is betrayed once again by those closest to him and vows to start standing up for himself, starting with winning back Diane. Warren is angry that Sienna has been left out in the cold by Liberty and Brody.

Lily talks to Valerie about her recent doctor’s visit. Valerie tries to soothe her worries and tells her to focus on the positive things in life.

Meanwhile, Emma informs Valerie that their special cookery session with a guest chef has been cancelled. Valerie’s disappointed, but feels like Emma is hiding something from her. She follows Emma to the Icon, where she catches Emma having lunch with Aashiq.

Valerie is furious that Emma is dating the person she fancied, and on top of that lied about it. Emma tries to explain the situation, but Valerie makes it clear that she has broken the sisterhood code so from now on they are colleagues, not friends.
