As Robert waits in his cell to set off for court, he’s puzzled to learn from Paula there’s been a delay as new information has come to light.
Meanwhile, Derek offers to delay the factory sale for Nick and Sarah until they raise the cash, if they can lay down £10k right now. Nick and Sarah turn to the factory workers for help with Izzy bringing the matter to Gary’s attention. Gary corners Derek in the Rovers’ yard. Derek notes that he has a right to sell but Gary insists otherwise.
Elsewhere, Roy calls at Richard’s flat to find the landlord hammering on the door and Nina barricaded in the flat. Roy shares memories of his lonely childhood with Nina and is encouraged when she replies through the letterbox.
Also, Jenny invites Rita to spend the afternoon at Winter Wonderland. However, Rita takes offence at being treated like a charity case. Tyrone and Fiz decide to punish Hope for disrupting the school nativity.

Sharon and Louise put Phil’s bad mood down to Peggy being in hospital. Phil struggles to keep his anger in check, bumping into Sharon making her phone fall in the sink.
Meanwhile, the Slaters’ problems worsen when Kat fails to charm Kheerat who informs them of a rent hike. With Jean struggling, Kat forms a plan and it’s not long before the Panesars find out what she has up her sleeve.
Elsewhere, Chantelle forces Whitney to go shopping for her vow renewal and after a successful day they head to the E20. Jay regrets leaving Stuart in charge when he and Rainie give Cokers a festive makeover. Martin agrees to do a risky job with Tubbs.

Jimmi is given a hearing in Crown court but struggles to follow his solicitor’s advice to just keep his cool. Despite an articulate defence from his solicitor, the judge finds that Jimmi flagrantly broke his bail conditions.
Jimmi is given a custodial sentence until his next hearing. His protests fall on deaf ears as he’s locked in a cell with no idea of when – or if – he’s getting out. Meanwhile, Daniel tactfully questions Bear’s nonchalant reaction to Jimmi’s arrest and discovers they have a history that predates The Mill.
Rob, beginning private investigations into Jimmi’s arrest, hunts down the only lead he’s got but it leads to nothing. Rob has to admit to Karen that, for once, he’s stumped and doesn’t even know where to start…
