Pick of the Plots: Wednesday 11th December

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

Ken and Adam are shocked to find Daniel slumped on the floor clutching Bertie, in tears after watching Sinead’s video about Bethany. Ken urges Daniel to pull himself together. During lunch with Peter and Adam in the bistro, Daniel gets horribly drunk and then steps out in front of Cathy’s car, sending him sprawling. As he comes round, Bethany assures him that Sinead knew the kiss meant nothing.

Meanwhile, Tim tracks Charlie, the air hostess down to a bar in town and asks her for a divorce. She agrees but tells him to fund it. Steve and Kevin warn Tim that being honest with Sally might be for the best. Geoff convinces Alya to stay away from his and Yasmeen’s Vegas party.

Elsewhere, Gary assures Maria that he isn’t a loan shark and that the reason he beat up Ryan was because he stole from him. Flanked by Ryan and Ali, Michelle boots a furious Robert out of the bistro kitchen pointing out it’s no longer his business.

When Luke finds out what Aaron has been up to, Wendy has to drag him away.

Meanwhile, Jimmy is worried that he’s under suspicion.

Elsewhere, Leyla is eager to rehearse the panto’s kissing scene with Liam.

Breda assures Bobby that now Sylver is in prison, no one will hurt his mum again, but Mercedes worries knowing that she lied and the real shooter is still out there. She panics when someone delivers a threatening letter to her.

Mercedes tells Breda that someone is out to scare her, but Breda reassures her that Sylver is in prison and to pull herself together in time for their quiz event tomorrow. However, someone is watching Mercedes.

Meanwhile, James asks Liam for the same drugs that he sold Sid yesterday. Liam is wary but agrees to fulfil the request, unaware that James is recording him.

Hollyoaks, Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Gareth ducks out of work at the Icon to attend a disciplinary hearing at the hospital. He insists that rumours of his drug use are groundless. However, after the meeting and with his case being referred to the GMC, he despairingly takes cocaine in the toilets.

Meanwhile, Daniel and Zara try to outdo each other in ways to help Bear with his dyslexia.

Elsewhere, Karen helps an elderly couple to make beautiful music together.
