Sarah’s furious to find Gary and Joe in the pub discussing a building job in Qatar, and Nicola backs Sarah up, reminding Gary of her offer to stop paying her maintenance until he’s back on his feet. This is news to Sarah who hits the bar, downing shots with the girls. When Adam suggests a nightcap back at his flat, Sarah accepts, keen to avoid Gary. Later, Seb spots the pair together and assumes that Adam is hassling Sarah. Adam doesn’t take too kindly to Seb’s attitude and punches him. Sarah takes Seb back to No.11 to tend to his injuries, lying to Gary that his attacker was someone he didn’t know.
Meanwhile, Leanne interrogates Simon over Amy’s pregnancy, but he assures her it’s nothing to do with him. However, with Amy refusing to name the daddy, Tracy continues to point the finger at Simon. Leanne leaps to his defence and whilst the woman trade insults, Amy rushes off in tears.
Elsewhere, Tyrone’s intrigued when Evelyn tells him she’s going away for a few days, and so he follows her to a house where she is let in by a man in a wheelchair. Tyone confronts Evelyn. James introduces himself as Evelyn’s grandson and explains that Evelyn took him under her wing when his parents died, and every year they go on holiday together. As they continue to talk, James lets slip a bombshell about Evelyn, leaving Tyrone reeling. .
Also, Abi flirts with Peter; Leanne is furious about Peter’s plan to take Simon sailing; and Roy returns home with the news that his mum has passed away.

Ste feels bad when Jonny fires Scott, blaming him for the lack of security which enabled the robbery. Ste sets out to convince Jonny to take Scott back, admitting that Terry beat him up and that he stole the TVs. Jonny provides Ste with an alibi for the robbery, and threatens Terry to leave, otherwise they’ll go to the police. Later, Terry is beaten up by a gang of men.
Meanwhile, Yazz is furious at Alfie for assuming his internship is better than hers, in Chester. However, Yazz agrees to go to Washington with Alfie when he secures her an internship there, but she’s sure that Misbah won’t let her go.
Elsewhere, Sinead catches Lily about to self-harm again and tries to cheer her up. Diane apologises to Lily for her harsh words, but Lily continues to self-harm. Laurie asks Sinead out for a drink, insisting it’s a work only thing.

At a spa, Zara and Emma sit with face masks on, giggling at each other’s appearance. Emma broaches the subject of her and Daniel with Zara trying to play down their problems, however her facade soon crumbles.
Meanwhile, Mrs Tembe goes to see Gordon at church, he is keen to know if she has thought any more about his proposal, however he’s taken aback when Mrs Tembe reveals that she wants to become a vicar. Later, they meet up again, and Gordon warns Mrs Tembe that life as a pastoral worker isn’t easy, leaving her a little uneasy. They pray together, and for a moment Gordon’s bitter disappointment is apparent.
Elsewhere, Ayesha tries to act excited when her LARP costume arrives; Valerie has brought in photos of all the places she’s visiting in Hawaii – Emma and Karen do their best to feign interest.
