Pick of the Plots: Monday October 2nd

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

Calling from his prison cell, Nathan orders Mel to stop Bethany reaching court today. With Mel saying she’s ready to talk to the police, Bethany insists on accompanying her to the station. However, their journey soon takes a more sinister turn. Later, Nathan’s cocky when his barrister reveals that Bethany hasn’t turned up. Will Bethany escape Mel’s clutches and arrive at court in enough time to give evidence?

Anna calls at Seb’s house with groceries. His mum Abi seizes the opportunity to head upstairs with a bottle of vodka, leaving Anna stuck in charge of the twins. Later, Anna’s torn over whether to take action after learning that Abi’s a drug addict.

Elsewhere, Eva feels guilty about the factory girls plight and later has a pasisonate smooch with Adam; Daniel tells Yasmeen he’s writing an exposé on the Calcutta Street flats swindle; Gemma’s concerned by how much Rita’s splashing out.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.

At the hospital, Stacey, Martin and Kush wait for news on Arthur but Stacey grows frustrated at the lack of answers. After a heart-to-heart between Martin and Kush, Kush heads home leaving Stacey and Martin alone. The doctor later reveals what they think has happened.

After spending the night with Luke, Ben toys with the idea of sending him a message but after some encouragement from Michelle who agrees to contact Doug at the same time, he invites Luke for a drink. Tom continues to try and get Michelle’s attention and sends her a present…

Elsewhere, Sonia is confronted about her time in Kettering; Johnny is worried about Ted.

Emma goes to Butlers to confront Moira about her feelings for James. Moira treads carefully with her answers but Emma’s disbelieving and the two women come to blows, resulting in the barn going up in flames. Will Emma come to the rescue of her nemesis?

Elsewhere, Tracy tries to convince the village singletons to attend singles night; Adam and Victoria kiss.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Tom is having second thoughts about living with the Cunningham’s, prompting Milo to come up with a plan to change his mind. Cindy is surprised when Milo later tells her about his time at Young Offenders but lies about why he was there.

Adam threatens to take Lisa to court over Tracey’s death, whilst Darcy destroys the letter she wrote confessing to the killing. Lisa finds a phone but is stunned by a text from Darcy on it.

Elsewhere, Cleo doesn’t know what to do about the baby; Sally orders Courtney to take her maternity leave.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Ayesha’s being moody with everyone at The Mill, except for Valerie who has taken her in over the weekend. Al reports last week’s events to Mrs T, who in turn explains what has happened to an exasperated Emma. Mrs T attempts to warn Valerie that Ayesha is in a difficult place but will Valerie listen? Things come to a head when Valerie and Emma share a joke, how will Ayesha react?

Elsewhere, Karen’s in full worrying mode about Rob; Sid deals with a case of hypersexuality.
