Pick of the Plots: Monday September 18th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

Eva secretly fumes that Maria won’t be at her wedding while Toyah confides Eva’s real agenda to a stunned Peter. Leanne tries to temper Eva’s thirst for revenge. Meanwhile, at the wedding venue, Maria is up to something. Back on the street, Aidan’s conscience gets the better of him and he confesses to Eva that he cheated on her.

Later, at the wedding venue, a nervous Aidan waits for Eva while Toyah spies Maria and sets out to waylay her. Eva finally arrives and makes her way up the aisle, but it’s not long before Maria makes her presence known.

Elsewhere, Michelle’s unnerved when her stalker strikes again – can Will mask his fury as she admits that she is still with Robert? Rita receives a diagnosis; Norris and Mary take part in the Mr & Mrs competition.

Kathy returns to the Square and questions why Ian didn’t call her but distracted with the news Steven’s body has been released, Ian struggles to engage.

The Kazemi family learn some worrying news about Carmel – she’s tested positive for Brugada syndrome and requires an operation. As Sharon comforts Carmel, Kush is faced with breaking the news to Stacey that Arthur could be at risk.

Elsewhere, Whitney tries to get through to Lauren; Keegan searches for a job; Bex confides in Louise about Gethin.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.

Liv confronts Robert and Rebecca at Home Farm, telling Rebecca that Robert really hates her. Robert calls Liv a liar leading Liv to nick his car keys and the bottle of Lawrence’s tampered with brandy. Later, Robert finds Liv by the side of the road. At the hospital, Robert tells the doctors Liv’s had diazepam as well as brandy. He calls Aaron whom he admits his actions to, leaving Aaron livid.

Ross is jealous when Debbie dresses up for her lunch date with Tom. When Tom and Debbie talk business, he accepts her offer and disarms her by taking her for a lunch date to a surprising venue and the two start to get to know each other but by the end of the date, Debbie’s disappointed and unsure where she stands.

Elsewhere, Finn encourages Adam to have his eyes checked out.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Grace is a nervous wreck wondering if Warren will be ok. When Warren comes round at the hospital, Grace tells him to keep her involvement quiet or she’ll get loose-lipped about their affair. She’s devastated when Warren and Sienna plan to get married in hospital, but he accidentally tells Sienna about the affair himself – drowsy from pain medication.

Darcy is spooked by some information from her private investigator and asks Adam for money claiming it’s for Toby’s treatment. Meanwhile, Maxine unintentionally spurs Jesse on to start wedding planning.

Elsewhere, Nancy visits Darren in prison; Cleo’s surprised when Joel asks her to move in with him.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Ayesha completes a diabetes check on Emma’s patient Diane, advising a blood test where Emma hasn’t identified a need, causing Emma to confront her for undermining her. Unrepentant, Ayesha accuses Emma of being a rubbish doctor. Mrs Tembe intervenes and Ayesha leaves saying it will all be sorted soon, she’ll see Emma at the inquest.

Al, having witnessed the incident, ponders to Ayesha whether she has a future at The Mill – offending her. Ayesha declares that she’s moving out and Al despairs. However, the pair later resolve their differences.

Elsewhere, Heston has a surprising diagnosis for a man who is terrified he is seriously ill.
