Pick of the Plots: Monday May 29th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Monday.

SoapWeek: Corrie

His memory returning Ken pieces together the argument he had on the night of his attack. Ken realises in horror that it was indeed one of his family members who pushed him, but who?

Leanne is keen to peace-make with her loved ones, luring Peter, Toyah, Nick and Steve to the bistro where Nick suggests a day at the seaside. But a kick about on the beach quickly descends into a petty squabble. Leanne overhears something she doesn’t like about Nick.  

Elsewhere, Shona is horrified to find out that Bethany’s with Nathan and orders him to stay away from her; Johnny tells Kate he’d rather attend his hospital appointment alone; Cathy suggests to Brian they can still be friends.

Coronation Street, Monday at 9pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Whitney’s subdued behaviour gives Johnny and Kathy cause for concern.

Honey offers to help Jack out with the kids and takes them to the playground. However, the outing takes a turn when Charlie puts in an appearance and is warned off by Honey. As Jack finds out what happened, Charlie turns up and reveals he’s notified social services of his plans to apply for residency of Matthew.

Elsewhere, Patrick returns home and comforts a broken Denise; Steven researches a way to track Lauren.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Robert continues to plead disinterest in the baby, even despite Aaron telling him he’ll support him as a dad. Meanwhile, Lawrence is still fuming over the situation and gets into a row with Robert when he sees him. Later, Rebecca experiences cramps and is rushed to hospital fearing she may be about to miscarry. Is the baby ok? And will Rebecca decide to leave the village?

Bernice gives Kerry a ticking off for neglecting the salon. Kerry fibs to Jai to get time off to make it up to Bernice. As she makes a hasty exit from the factory, Kerry knocks over a chocolate order but Nell takes the blame for her clumsiness.

Elsewhere, Finn is disappointed to be turned down for a loan; Marlon’s troubled by Carly and Matt spending time together.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

It’s the day of Nick’s graduation but Holly is furious after discovering Nick and Tegan’s affair.

An empowered Ellie allows Nick entry to The Dog graduation party; however, Nick confronts Holly in front of everyone when he finds out she kissed Zack. Later, at home things take a sinister turn between Holly and Nick when he rapes her.

Elsewhere, Ellie is disgusted with how Shane manipulates Goldie.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Rob and Karen are struggling to appease Baby Marnie’s crying. Ruhma advises the tot’s distress is down to withdrawal symptoms. To their horror, Ruhma adds she could be like this for weeks or months. As Karen sets off to do some shopping a desperate Rob tries everything he can to calm Marnie down but it seems like a losing battle. When Karen returns, she is in for a shock.

Mrs Tembe and JJ spend an emotional last day together before he heads to Spain. But a chance encounter with someone who lost their partner suddenly has a profound effect on Mrs Tembe. Will she now change her mind and give in to JJ’s pleas to move to Spain with him?

Elsewhere, Daniel tends to an elderly and vulnerable patient but she rails against all his efforts to help her.

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
