Terrified and alone, Amber tries to get Belinda to set her free. However, when Belinda reveals a large gas canister, Amber realises she’s in grave danger. Meanwhile, Lenny and Alex scold DI Donald for his handling of Amber’s case prompting him to put his job on the line by opening Belinda’s sealed file which reveals Belinda’s dangerous past. Can the trio get to Amber in time?
Lorna and Andy’s new domestic bliss is shattered by news of Greig. He’s in a wheelchair having undergone spinal surgery following an explosion. Lorna reaches out and tells Greig to come home for rehab. Frankie is thrilled in contrast to Andy.
Elsewhere, Liz and Suzie vie to be Alasdair’s date at the opera. As Bob plans another date with Kim, Angus’s suggestion of a double date doesn’t tickle Cassie’s fancy.

Jay ploughs ahead with his plans to throw a house party for Ben’s 21st despite Ben’s lack of enthusiasm. Jay later gets a shock at the party while Abi plays matchmaker with Johnny and Ben.
Michelle is overjoyed when Preston returns but some disappointing news gets in the way of their romantic time. Preston turns his attentions to Bex after clashing with Michelle. Later Martin comforts an upset Michelle at the allotments unaware of the real cause of her upset.
Elsewhere, Whitney gives Lauren a reality check about her behaviour; and Mick is relieved to hear that Tina is looking into a home for Sylvie.

Marnie isn’t happy that Lisa knew about Ellie’s night with Nick at the time but Ellie defends Lisa and forbids Marnie from coming to the police interview with her. At the Cunningham’s, Cindy questions Holly about Nick.
Later, Marnie announces to Lisa that she knows all about her and Mac’s affair and their part in Nathan’s death while, elsewhere, Nick and Ellie are both giving their side in police interviews.
The two families cross paths in The Bean, Nick having been released pending further investigation. Marnie marches Lisa down to the spot where Nathan was left to die and orders her to go to the police and confess that Mac killed Nathan.
Elsewhere, Scott picks up on the tension between Lily and Diane. Lily decides to get rid of the incriminating jewelry box but Prince decides it could be useful after an encounter with Diane. Scott catches Prince retrieving the jewellery box from the bin and instantly recognises it.
