Pick of the Plots: Tuesday February 14th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in River City, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Tuesday.

Scarlett’s weed dealing business is derailed when Caitlin discovers her dodgy shenanigans – much to Bob’s horror, and reports them to the police. Scarlett pleads with DI Donald to give her time to close down her drugs operation. 

DI Donald obliges and points out her actions could jeopardise Patrick’s forthcoming trial. As Scarlett faces a race against time to right her wrongs, Patrick stumbles on Scarlett’s shady secret and reacts furiously.

Pete finds friendship with Dr Mikey Rosenburg in hospital. When Caitlin arrives at the hospital she’s stunned to see a sedated Pete and discovers he’s been diagnosed as bi-polar. However, there’s a further shock in store when Mikey’s true identity is revealed.

Elsewhere, it’s the beginning of the end for Robbie and Gary.

River City, Tuesday at 8pm on BBC One Scotland.

It’s Valentine’s Day in the Square.

Can Lee and Whitney overcome their differences or is it the end of the road for them?

Michelle is surprised to receive a card and later gets a shock after babysitting for Stacey and Martin. Bex finds a way to express her feelings.

Elsewhere, Billy and Jay are shocked by Jack’s latest request.

Finn’s mortified to receive a Valentine card knowing his mum was the sender. Later, Finn confides in Tracy about breaking into Kasim’s house. The pair decide to break in again to make amends and Emma tries to assist. However, they are interrupted by Kasim…

Rhona confronts Pierce over the conference he didn’t attend but feels guilty when she finds out it was the anniversary of Tess’s death. Rhona comes up with a plan to make it up to him. Pierce proposes and Rhona is delighted to accept. But will she tell him about her kiss with Paddy?

Elsewhere, Kerry is enjoying her domestic bliss at home with Dan and Kyle but Lisa insists on taking Kyle home with her. Chas is a bit jealous to find out about Paddy and Rhona’s kiss; a floral delivery is made at the Thomas’s house with Laurel assuming Gabby is in the intended recipient, but is she?

Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Myra is stunned by a revelation from Sally, meanwhile Nick plans to be there for Holly at Celine’s funeral go awry.

Later, the McQueens gather for the funeral. Jesse arrives with a Valentine’s Day card and rose for Celine. Cleo is still harboring feelings for Nathan. She struggles through her eulogy at the church but at the end of the service, everyone throws white feathers in the air to represent that guardian angels are nearby. The McQueens persuade Cleo to tell Nathan how she feels, and Myra’s waters break.

Meanwhile, after hearing that Lisa has accepted Nathan’s proposal, Mac follows her when she goes to get changed after spilling a drink on herself. She weakens when he starts to kiss her and they fall into bed together, but someone catches them.

Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

A huge bouquet of flowers arrives for Emma. There’s a lot of speculation about who they might be from but Emma’s lips are sealed. Meanwhile Sid receives an anonymous Valentine’s card. Assuming they are from a doe-eyed Bethany he finally plucks up the courage to talk to her about her crush on him but will she get the message? Quiz training gets underway for tomorrow but Al’s practice techniques don’t go down too well. Finally Valerie finds a way to move on from her disappointing single’s holiday and has an interesting proposition for Mrs Tembe.

In the story of the day Zara’s cynicism about Valentine’s Day has serious repercussions for the owners of one of her favourite restaurants when her poor advice makes their strained relationship worse. During a consultation, Zara tells a depressed Peter to go and do the one thing that would make him really happy today. So, Peter heads back to the restaurant and starts drinking heavily. Wendy can’t believe her husband is doing this when he has been sober for so many years..
