With Drew about to leave for America, Caitlin plans a surprise farewell party for her son and implores him to fix things with Pete before it’s too late. However, Drew and Pete’s meeting fails to prove medial after Pete lays a guilt trip on Drew. Conflicted, Drew returns home and finds out that his surprise party has been ruined by the unwelcome arrival of his gran, Maggie.
There’s heartache in store for Jules when Frankie forces Drew to admit he cheated on her and things get even worse for Drew as Pete’s behaviour spirals out of control, much to everyone’s concern. Caitlin takes drastic action to ensure her son’s future happiness.
Elsewhere, Gary and Robbie try to convince themselves their open relationship is going well when it isn’t; Angus forces Cassie and Bob to spend some time together.

The Carters reach crisis point when Babe’s secret antics come back on her. Meanwhile, Whitney confides in Lauren before broaching the subject of Lee’s unexpectedly low payslip with Lee.
Kim tries to build bridges with Denise; apologising for her recent behaviour but Denise struggles to accept the apology.
Elsewhere, Ricky and Amy return to school but Glenda soon realises an upsetting truth; Stacey discusses Jack with Max; and Keegan suggests Shakil gives their peers something else to talk about.

Chrissie confronts Charity about the origins of the money for Sarah’s treatment and Charity eventually admits what she’s done. Chrissie threatens to call the police but Rebecca and Lawrence step in to smooth the situation over before it gets to that point.
Sarah discovers an ill woman hiding out in the Dingles’ barn. Concerned for her welfare, Sarah starts to provide her with secret supplies of food and cough medicines out to her and in return receives a compact mirror as a thank you.

Maxine is mortified when she shows Adam a CCTV still from her PI that hes’s already seen. Meanwhile, Grace catches Liam out when he tries to get her talking about the counterfeit cash whilst wearing a wire. With Thorpe calling off their plan, Liam soon hits upon another opportunity to get at Grace.
Lily feels like a spare part when Diane returns home for good. Diane is feeling agitated but agrees to a special dinner for Lily’s benefit. Later, Diane is on the phone telling someone she loves them and will see them soon; is she having an affair?
Elsewhere, after suffering an accident Nancy suggests that Sally should give Courtney the promotion; and Jack is shocked when he gets a call to say that he’s inherited Eva’s money.
