Pick of the Plots: Wednesday February 1st

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Wednesday.

Stunned to find out Toyah has kept her IVF attempts a secret from him Peter wonders what other lies she has told him and storms off on a taxi run. When a glamorous customer invites him into the hotel for a drink Peter accepts. Tim soon lets slip where Peter has been, irking Toyah. Later, Nick secretly shows Toyah the engagement ring he’s bought for Leanne.

An uneasy Anna taps Adam for advice on personal injury claims. Meanwhile Kevin gets an unexpected offer of help.

Elsewhere, Jenny has a brainwave after talking to Sally about her cancer check-up. Ken calls the Barlows together and announces that he’s going ahead with his DNR instruction and that with Adam’s help, he’s sorted out a new will.

Coronation Street, Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.

Moira is re-offered a contract by Patrick (the client she met and stole from in last night’s episode) and tells Ross to sell his car on quickly. However Moira’s meeting with Patrick throws up an unsettling soupcon of information:- that there was an urn of ashes in the boot of his car. Moira hurriedly signs the contract and heads off in the hope that Ross hasn’t sold it yet. Can Moira intercept the ashes before it’s too late?

Rebecca finds herself in Lawrence and Chrissie’s bad books after planning to get Chrissie’s mum’s ring engraved, only to lose it. Lawrence is further annoyed to find out about Rebecca’s dealings with Robert. 

Elsewhere, Charity plots when Megan and Leyla turn down the Woolpack as a suggested party venue. Cain gets a call from social services.

Emmerdale, Wednesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

As Goldie fusses, Shane realises why he’s feeling rundown but he suspects Joel of pulling Sienna’s strings. Sienna alerts Joel to Shane being on the warpath. Later, Warren’s hackles are raised when he and Joel find the garage a sports car light. Joel warns Shane, but Shane’s standing firm. He’s got video evidence of what Joel did – he killed Katy…

Meanwhile, Prince reveals to Lily he heard her calling him stupid, before getting Shane’s help. Later, Lily visits Prince to apologise but when he uses his dad’s advice on her she leaves affronted. Goldie is furious with her son but pales when Prince says that he just copied how Shane treats her.

Elsewhere, Harry’s plans to propose to Ste go awry when Leah ends up biting into a muffin containing the ring, then realises she’s swallowed its stone. Ste tells Harry that he’s not ready for marriage. Grace tells Esther that she killed Eva and that she’s in love with her.

Hollyoaks, Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
