The BBC have announced that Suzi Perry will anchor their Formula 1 coverage from 2013, replacing Jake Humphrey, who is heading to BT Sports next year.
Suzi, who presented BBC’s Moto GP coverage and reported on other sports including Horse Racing, will be likely joined by Eddie Jordan and David Coulthard again, however BBC have not officially announced this yet.
The 42 year old said: “Motorsport is my life and I’ve really missed being away from the grid, I am so excited to be joining the BBC. Working alongside such an eminent team and the F1 world is a huge honour and I can’t wait to get started.”
However in a blow for the BBC, who show 10* races live and 10 as highlights, they will not show the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix live. Despite having the first three picks they have chosen British Grand Prix, the last grand prix in Brazil along with another (possibly Canada).
Sky Sports have stated they will continue with the same line up from 2012 with Presenters Simon Lazenby and Georgie Thompson. Commentary comes from Martin Brundle and David Croft, Punditry from Damon Hill, Anthony Davidson and Johnny Herbert. Reporting duties will also continue with Natalie Pinkham and Ted Kravitz.
