Poll Results: Would you like to see Dynasty revived?

For the past week we’ve been asking the readers of ATV Today whether they’d like to see a revival of cult 1980s soap opera Dynasty.

Well it seems that there’s actually another 1980s soap that ATV Today readers would like to see revived first – Knots Landing! The Dallas spin-off ran from 1979 to 1993 and starred Ted  Shackelford as Gary Ewing, the younger brother of J.R (Larry Hagman) and Bobby (Patrick Duffy), and Joan Van Ark as Valene – his wife. The two move to Los Angeles to restart their marriage away from the interfering presence of J.R and the demanding family business – Ewing Oil. With a whipping 90.5% of the vote it seems that Knots Landing still has plenty of fans.

There were some ATV Today readers who wouldn’t mind reviving the Colby and Carrington clans for more catfights, caviar and shoulder pads – 6.7% said they’d like to see a revival of Dynasty. Just 2.2% of our readers were not keen on the idea. So while Dynasty might not have come out tops with our readers the poll proves there is still an appetite amongst you for those classic 1980s soaps – perhaps we should have included Falcon Crest in our poll?
