Weekly Poll: Would you watch another Doctor Who spin-off

Steven Moffat has ruled out the possibility of another spin-off from Doctor Who – for now – but if there were to be another one would you watch it? Or would you prefer Torchwood was brought back instead? Or have there been too many Doctor Who spin-offs instead?

Since Doctor Who was revived it has spawned two live-action spin-offs; Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. Up until last year it also had behind-the-scenes series Doctor Who: Confidential before Zai Bennett in his “infinitive” wisdom decided to cancel it. There have also been numerous other tie-ins to the Doctor Who universe from computer games to Children in Need specials, animated features and pretty much everything else in-between.

However, the future of Torchwood looks decidedly bleak at the moment and the sad passing of Elisabeth Sladen means they’ll be no more Sarah Jane Adventures. Some would argue it was the perfect time to launch another spin-off but, at present, show-runner Steven Moffat has no plans to do so. However, if one were to come along in the near future would you watch it? Or should Torchwood be revived instead of spinning off a new show? Or have the spin-offs gone too far?
