Former England player and manager Glenn Hoddle joins the ITV football coverage alongside presenter Adrian Chiles and regular pundit Lee Dixon for the 2014 World Cup and England Games.
Hoddle will first feature on the 5th of March for England’s game v Denmark. He also be part of ITV’s team at the World Cup in Brazil. Then ITV have exclusive rights to England Euro 2016 qualifiers, in which again Hoddle will be a part of the coverage.
Hoddle has been part of Sky Sports’ football coverage as a pundit for many years and this will continue, therefore the contract is not on an exclusive to ITV.
Having both played for and managed England, and in both cases at World Cups, Glenn is a genuine rarity and we’re delighted he is joining us to bring such unique insight to our coverage as we gear up to this summer in Brazil. – Niall Sloane, ITV Director of Sport
